Ordnance, made of Cast-Iron, that no other Nation whatever
will be able to vye with or emulate Y:r Majesty's Subjects in
this universal Manufacture of Cast-Iron: and more espe-
cially so, provided the Secret Thall be preserved within Y:r
Majesty's Dominions, under your wise & gracious Govern-
ment, & the prudent Management of Your Subjects.
And as all Bar-Iron is first made into Cast-Iron
from the Iron Stone or Ore, before it is wrought into the
Form of Bars: And as the new Cast-Iron in general, made
according to the new Invention, is of a Quality so highly supe-
rior to that of all other Nations, Y:r Memorialist humbly pre-
sumes, that all Bar-Iron made of such Cast-Iron will be
made cheaper, if not far superior in Point of Quality to that of
all other Nations; which may give such a further Cedit &
Reputation to the Sweedish-Bar Iron in general as well as to
the Cast, that no Rival Nation whatever will be able hereafter
to injure Sweedland in the Iron Manufacture.
the best & finest Bar-Iron, 'tis presum'd that all Sweedish Steel
Moreover, as the best & finest Steel is made from
likewise will obtain a more universal Credit, than That of any
other Nation: all which Considerations taken together, which are
the natural Consequences of Cast Iron of a superior Quality, Y:r
Memorialist humbly conceives, will render his new Discovery
of such extraordinary Benefit & Advantage to the Kingdom of
Sweeden, that is much easier conceived, than accurately respresented.
Your Memorialist was first encouraged to attempt this
Invention from a Zeal to promote the Commerce of his own Country
in conjunction with his private Emolument: And His Brittannick
Majesty, Y:r Memorialists most gracious Sovereign, in consideration
of this estimable Discovery, hath been pleas'd to bestow his Royal
Grant, Pivileges, & Immunities upon Y:r Memorialist, exclusive
of all other His Majesty's Subjects. But Y:r Memorialist experi-
encing so great a Scarcity of Wood-Fuel in the british Domi-
nions, & that Wood, situated to best Advantage, already
engrossed
in general, in that infinite Variety of other Particulars besides
